Shakai Seikatsu feels like someone smashed an isekai harem fantasy into a messy slice-of-life drama and then just… forgot to clean the edges. In a good way, mostly. You start as this guy who’s completely fucked up in the head after losing his parents, and instead of getting teleported into some medieval world to kill slimes, you get thrown back into regular Japanese-style school life. Which is somehow worse and hornier at the same time. One moment you’re zoning out at your classroom desk staring at the cheap background art, the next you’re in a private nurse’s office scene where the “checkup” turns into her sitting way too close, stethoscope basically an excuse for her tits to press against you. I was listening to Disasterpeace on Spotify while playing that bit and it kinda worked, even though the game is pure anime and my playlist is all crunchy chiptune arps. There’s this sandbox loop where you tap around the school, go from classroom to corridor to rooftop, pretending you’re making serious life choices while actually just chasing who’s more likely to show some skin today. It’s janky, the movement between locations feels a bit like clicking through old Flash menus, but honestly that’s nostalgic as hell if you grew up on terrible Newgrounds dating sims.
The whole thing is very “first day of school but everybody wants your dick for some reason.” You’ve got the childhood friend trying to save your broken heart, the shy schoolgirl in uniform who accidentally flashes way more than she should during a “study session,” and of course the nurse who definitely breaks like six medical rules every time she closes the curtains. You bump into girls in the hall, their skirts a little too short, you get these small exhibitionism moments where one of them “forgets” to close a door or pulls you behind a building and asks if anyone can see her touching herself. The game loves masturbation scenes, sometimes even more than full-on sex, which is kinda hot but also kinda funny. There’s this one futa event on the rooftop that just blindsides you. She’s standing there in her uniform, wind blowing, standard anime vibes, and then suddenly she’s unzipping and your brain goes “oh, ok, cool, that’s where we’re going.” It’s not subtle. At all. I wanted to complain about the pacing there, like someone dumped all the spicy chili into one spoon instead of mixing it into the stew, but then again I kept reloading that save, so yeah, I’m a hypocrite. The harem angle is pretty blatant: you flirt, you pick dialogue options, you sneak around after class, and slowly the whole school becomes this web of girls who are fine with sharing you way more than any sane person would be. It feels like a long-term relationship with a mobile gacha: you tell yourself you’ll just check one scene, then suddenly you’re grinding affection points to unlock the nurse’s night visit event where she shows up at your place in costume, pretending it’s “clinical follow-up.” I wish the UI wasn’t so stiff on phone, some buttons feel tiny and I kept mis-tapping instead of saving at the good parts, but I know they’ll probably never fix that and I’ve already adapted like a dumb animal. Still, that moment when you’re in your room, headphones on, Telegram pinging in the background, and the screen shows your depressed MC finally getting a messy, desperate blowjob from a girl who used to just smile politely in homeroom... the game suddenly clicks. It’s trashy, it’s uneven, it’s horny as fuck, and I kept thinking “ok, just one more scene” while some old YMCK track looped in the background like this is 2006 all over again.
