RWBY DAY OUT v1.0
This thing is like someone smashed a horny RWBY fanfic into a scrappy little Ren’Py project, forgot to clean it up, then went “ah fuck it, I’ll upload it.” And I mean that in a kinda good way. It’s Ruby and Cardin, which already sounds like crack ship energy, but it actually leans into that messed up vibe instead of pretending it’s some sweet vanilla school romance. You get this slow slide from awkward school tension into “wait, why is my body reacting to this asshole” and yeah, it goes all the way. It’s not shy. The sex scenes really feel like fanfic scenes that were written first, then someone built the VN around them. Ruby’s still Ruby, just way more confused and horny and way less heroic. Cardin is… Cardin. Big, dumb, aggressive presence in every scene, like the kind of dude you’d mute in Valorant voice chat, and then suddenly you’re reading him pinning Ruby to a bed and your brain just goes “oh.”
What really sticks is one of the early scenes where the game stops pretending it’s just teasing. They’re alone after some stupid school thing, Cardin crowds into her personal space, and it has this ugly-hot energy. Ruby’s trying to stand up for herself, snapping back at him, but every insult just makes him push more, closer, rougher. Then you hit that CG and it’s her flushed, eyes wide, not sure if she wants to punch him or grab him. It’s like watching a ship you’d normally call cursed suddenly click in your brain. Later on there’s this moment with Ruby on her knees, cheeks streaked, and the writing actually goes into her thoughts like “why do I like this” instead of just turning her into brainless porn drone, which I kinda respect. It’s messy and dark and not exactly “healthy” but it feels like something from those old AO3 fics you’d read in secret on your phone. Music is straight from Pixabay and you can absolutely tell, but it somehow makes it funnier. Like you’re in this filthy scene and the track in the background sounds like royalty-free YouTube vlog music, and your brain just short circuits. The art swings between “oh, this looks nice” and “ok, yeah, AI did this” especially on some faces if you stare too long. I spent way too much time trying to figure out why Cardin’s expression in one shot looked like he just remembered he left the oven on. Menus are barebones, transitions kinda clunky, but it all weirdly fits. It’s like finding someone’s secret porn side project on itch and realizing, shit, they really poured their kinks into this. Not polished, not subtle, a bit broken in the head, but very honest about what it wants: Ruby, ruined by a guy she should absolutely not be anywhere near, and you sitting there, clicking “next” even while saying “I’m only checking this out for research.”
