The Repairman v0.08
A busted washing machine, some sad old apartment corridor, flickering light that looks like it wants to die more than the poor guy holding the toolbox. That’s pretty much the mood when this thing opens, and honestly it works way better than I expected. The main guy isn’t some superhero gigachad, he’s just tired and horny and broke, which feels a lot more real than the usual porn game bullshit. Cutscenes play out like small episodes from a cheap but oddly charming late night adult cartoon, with camera angles that quietly creep closer to asses and cleavage every time he answers a “service call”. There’s no choices to stress about, the story just drags you along, like you’re stuck in the back of the van listening to his thoughts while he goes from one job to the next, getting pulled from “can you fix this outlet” to “oh, by the way, my husband is not home” faster than he can say invoice. The animation is rough at times, you see some weird stiff fingers or eyes not focusing quite right, but somehow that imperfection makes it dirtier. Like you’re watching a horny test reel the studio never meant to show outside.
The sex build-up is where this thing actually surprised me. It doesn’t jump straight to penetration. The guy spends a lot of time just watching, listening, trying not to stare at a client’s thighs while she leans over the sink, or pretending he doesn’t notice that she’s not wearing a bra while her nipples poke through some cheap tank top. There’s this one scene in a small kitchen, with a buzzing fridge and a half finished beer on the counter, where he kneels to check a socket and the camera loves that shot of her ass barely covered by a house dress, and he’s just there, half working, half imagining. You can almost feel his cock getting hard in his overalls while he keeps talking about voltage like an idiot. Later, when he finally gets alone in some shitty rented room, the game lets him jerk off while thinking back on the women he saw that day, and the masturbation cutscenes actually lean into his frustration instead of just making it a victory lap. His breathing, the way his hips jerk a bit too fast, the way he loses rhythm for a second and grips tighter, all of that is animated in a way that feels embarrassing and hot at the same time. It’s not perfect, some loops repeat too obviously and a couple of transitions look like someone forgot to polish them, but the overall vibe is this grimy, horny little story about a dude whose whole life is “please fix my stuff” and “fuck, I shouldn’t be this turned on while I’m changing a fuse”. I kept telling myself I was just checking the animation quality and suddenly I realized I was just waiting to see which doorbell he’d ring next.
