Whakawai Part 2
Ahoroa’s second night in that villa feels like one of those situations where you’re screaming at the screen, but at the same time you’re kinda curious how badly it can go. She just wants to dry her clothes after the waterfall, just chill a bit, but everything around her looks like a slow-burn trap. The place has this warm, fake-friendly vibe: buddies smiling too wide, drinks appearing from nowhere, someone always just a little bit too close. It’s not subtle. The whole game is basically you trying to keep this girl from sliding face-first into a full-on drunken fuckfest while the entire environment is designed to nudge her exactly there. And it’s not some noble “protect her purity” crap either. The fun is how you juggle her curiosity, her horniness, and your own curiosity about how far you can push without losing control.
The nice part is how small everything is. Just the villa, a few rooms, a handful of people who are clearly not innocent. One guy is all “relax, we’re just hanging out” while his eyes keep drifting to her wet clothes hanging near the window. Another one opens a bottle and acts like he’s doing some classy wine tasting, except he’s pouring her glass a lot deeper than his. There’s this small thing where you can choose whether she keeps her bra under the towel or not when she’s drying off. That tiny detail, that stupid little click, changes how bold everyone acts later. Someone notices a nipple through the fabric, makes a comment that pretends to be a joke. She laughs. You notice she’s not stepping away. The game never screams in your face, but it slowly strips her comfort level, like a drip of alcohol and compliments and careless touches. At some point you’re not sure if she stayed to avoid being rude or because she actually wants to see how far she can go before she “accidentally” ends up in an orgy on the couch.
What kind of drove me crazy is how her phone keeps vibrating on the table at one point, and if you’re paying attention you can cut the night short and push her to just grab it and say she has to go home. But I kept missing it because some idiot in the kitchen keeps calling her over to “try this new cocktail” and I wanted to see the different conversation branches. Also, whoever decided the text boxes should jump position between scenes, I hope your coffee tastes slightly wrong forever. Not enough to complain on Reddit, just enough to notice. Still, there’s this scene where she’s half-sober, sitting on the floor with her back to the couch, a half-empty glass between her thighs, and two of the guys talking over her like she’s already a shared toy. You can make her stand up, change the mood, or you can let her sink into it, watch their hands get bolder, watch her pretend she doesn’t feel it. It is not violent, it’s more like watching the line between “friendly party” and “fuck, this is an orgy now” get erased one giggle at a time. And somewhere in there you forget you were supposed to send her home at all.
