Cartoon Hearts: School of Desire 0.1
This thing feels like somebody mashed together every horny cartoon crush I had in middle school, then dropped them all into one semi-normal high school and said, “ok, now just pretend this is fine.” You play the most generic student possible, which actually works, because all the attention is on the girls. One minute you’re walking down a boring hallway with lockers and random NPCs, and then Violet Parr is just there, hugging her sketchbook like it’s a shield, quietly staring at you from behind that hair. The game really eats that awkward energy. She mumbles, stutters, hides her face, and then suddenly drops a line about the stuff she secretly draws at night, and I swear my brain just stopped working for a second.
Raven is the one that really got me though. She’s got this “I’m above all of this” vibe, sitting alone, headphones on, reading some occult-looking shit while everyone else is doing normal school stuff. At first she barely gives you one-word answers and just roasts you for being basic, but if you actually pick some of the more risky dialogue, she starts talking about using her powers in… not very PG ways. There’s a scene in a quiet classroom where she’s pretending nothing’s happening, book open, and the text is describing her trying to keep a straight face while you’re touching her under the desk. It’s not subtle. It also goes from “haha teasing” to “ok this is outright hentai territory” fast, with her trying to keep her voice low while calling you an idiot. I replayed that scene on my phone in bed like three times, not gonna lie, and the Ren’Py skip/rollback got a workout because I kept checking alt choices. The save thumbnails tell on you, by the way.
Then Starfire just blows all that slow-burn tension apart, because she’s sunshine and porn at the same time. She’s so excited about everything human that she treats sex like some weird cultural lesson she needs to “understand better.” There’s a moment on the sports field where she asks you about “Earthling mating rituals” in front of other students and you have that panic of “please don’t say the quiet part loud,” but of course she does. Later, when you finally get her alone, she’s eager in this almost too innocent way, asking if it feels good when she does this or that, and the script leans hard into describing every little motion. Sometimes the writing stumbles a bit, like it can’t decide if it wants to be romantic or straight porn, and there are lines that sound like they came from an old hentai fansub, but honestly that kind of fits the whole messy vibe. It feels like a fan who memorized every cartoon scene growing up and then just wrote the game they always wanted to jerk off to, with Raven quietly losing control, Violet trying not to moan too loud in a dark art room, and Starfire smiling while she does absolutely filthy stuff because she thinks it’s “the appropriate human custom.” It’s not polished, it doesn’t pretend to be, and that’s exactly why I kept clicking.
