Exiles feels like somebody smashed together Aladdin fanfic, a horny Viking metal album cover, and a bad road trip, then said “yeah, that’s fine” and shipped it. You start as this broke street rat in a hot desert city that smells like dust and spices and sweat, getting pushed around, working for rich assholes in shiny clothes. The game is in first person, so a lot of scenes feel like you’re just standing there while crazy stuff happens around you: merchants yelling, guards showing off, slaves getting whipped in the corner like it’s no big deal. Then you stumble into this mess of gods, exiles, pirates, muscle amazons, and everybody somehow also wants to get in your pants. Or at least on their knees. It’s that kind of adventure.
The story plays like an old-school adventure game that got corrupted by Pornhub. One moment you’re sneaking through palace corridors, trying not to get your head chopped off. Next moment a thick-thighed warrior woman has you pinned against a wall, grinding her muscles on you until you forget what your main quest even was. I liked that the game lets you be a horny little chaos gremlin, choosing to help someone, betray them, or just get distracted by a blowjob behind some market tent. There’s a scene early on where you’re “serving” your elegant patron and the line between obeying orders and getting your cock worshipped with her hands and mouth gets blurry fast. I legit had Google Translate open next to the game at one point because some of the in-game flavor text got weirdly poetic while she was giving a sloppy handjob, like bro, I’m trying to read and also nut here, pick one.
Later it flips hard from warm desert vibes to cold northern seas and rough longships crashing through black waves. That part feels less pretty and more brutal. Drunk pirates laughing while someone gets their face bashed in, then in the next cabin two guys are tangled together, one on his knees taking it up the ass while the other bites his neck and tells him not to make a sound or the crew will hear. You can lean into that side, or just watch and move on, which actually made it feel more real. Not everything is built around you. There is this one scene with a smug femboy dancer from the east, jingling little golden anklets, pressing his soft feet on your chest and asking if you’ll lick between his toes or if you’re “too shy for real devotion.” I thought I’d hate it. I didn’t. Same with a trap pirate who pulls you behind some crates, pushes you down, and when their hard cock slaps against your lips the camera just stays there, waiting for your choice. And yeah, there’s blood, there’s rough sex, there’s anal that looks like it actually hurts a bit at first, and humor right next to it, like someone cracking a dick joke right after a sword fight. Some people will hate that tone shift. I kinda loved it, then got annoyed, then loved it again.
The magic stuff in the background, gods and world-ending threats or whatever, honestly I kept forgetting. I was too busy picking if I want the big scarred Viking woman to ride me reverse cowgirl while she laughs in my face, or to sneak off with the soft-spoken desert “courtesan” who turns out to have a cock prettier than half the jewelry in the city. There’s a foot scene where a towering warrior priestess makes you kneel in the sand and clean the dirt from her soles with your tongue while she talks about fate and exile, and somehow that felt more epic than any save-the-world monologue. Sometimes the jokes land, sometimes they feel like your horny friend trying too hard in Discord, but it never gets boring. I kept alt-tabbing to Spotify to put weird playlists on, mixing Arabic drums with pirate shanties, and the game still made sense. Kind of. It’s messy, horny, violent, funny, and it feels like it knows it is. Which weirdly fits.
