Cartoon Harem v0.48
This one feels like someone took their koikatsu folder, poured a bottle of horny on it, and then tried to lace it with just enough “romance” so they don’t feel like a total perv. You land in this generic dude’s skin, nothing special, just basic male MC, and suddenly you are walking around talking to all these very not-subtle versions of cartoon girls that everyone here already jerked to on DeviantArt when they were too young to know better. One moment you’re chatting up a slightly too wholesome Gwen, next you’re side eyeing Raven across a table, watching her pretend she doesn’t want you, and in your brain you’re already planning how many dialogue choices it will take until she is grinding on your lap. The game knows exactly what it’s doing. It throws “dates” at you, but the dates are really just foreplay for the H scenes, and those scenes hit pretty hard. There is a moment with Mavis where she leans in, pretending to talk about something sweet, and the camera just keeps drifting lower, like the game itself is a horny teenager that lost focus. When the clothes finally come off, the bodies feel like those typical koikatsu dolls, glossy and just a little uncanny, but somehow that adds to the porn vibe more than it should.
The actual date sim part is kind of funny. One run I tried to be a cheesy romantic guy, picking every cute option, complimenting their hair, pretending I care about their feelings. Starfire eats that up like it is candy. She smiles, does that shy alien girl routine, and in the next scene she is practically begging for you, bouncing in that floaty way that makes zero sense physically, but your dick does not care. Then I tried to be a complete asshole with Kim, picking rude answers, teasing her, and she still ended up blushing and bending over a desk after five minutes. The “romance” is there, but it is paper thin. You notice sometimes the same line of dialogue pops up in totally different scenes, like the dev just copied it to plug a hole. I had a moment with Katara where the mood was actually kinda sweet, quiet music, warm lighting, she talks about trust and all that, and it almost felt like a real VN. Two clicks later she is on her knees, sloppy sounds, zero buildup, like the game got bored of its own feelings. I liked it. I hated it. I liked that I hated it.
Controls are simple, you just click through, pick options, save before risky choices like in every Ren’py thing. There was one tiny thing that annoyed the hell out of me: the text box sometimes covers the exact part of the body I am trying to look at in the H scene, and if there is a way to make it hide with right click or something, I couldn’t find it fast and I got too horny to check the settings. The camera angles go from “ok, nice” to “why are we zooming on this wall” in a blink. But then you get a scene with Raven and Starfire together, lights low, bodies pressed, and suddenly the framing is perfect, like the dev woke up and said “wait, this one matters.” I ended up spending more time than I want to admit just trying different conversation orders to see who unlocks what first. Nothing groundbreaking happens, but there is this trashy charm to it, like scrolling horny TikToks at work when you know you shouldn’t. Half the time I was rolling my eyes at the cheesy writing, half the time I was muting everything and just letting the animations run on loop while I “tested” them. I still think the game is kind of dumb, but I also kept clicking “new game” again. So yeah.
